1968 Traveleze For Sale

16 ft w/ tongue 1968 Traveleze Breeze

Completely renovated minimalist Scandinavian style camper, done in the Spring of 2021. We sleep 2 adults and 2 young children with no problem. The open space was made large enough to stand up a pack and play. I love camping in her, but we’re ready for something a little larger after finding out how much we love camping.

Tons of storage, rubber roof. All new refrigerator, latex mattress, sink, faucet, foot pump, spare tire, jack, screens, paint, and pretty much everything else.

Has been stored indoors in the off season, and covered when not in use outside during the Summer. Cover included.

We purchased this in early 2021 from FaceBook marketplace. It suffered some pretty severe damage during transport. Instead of scrapping it, we decided to tear it apart, repair it, and rebuild it to suit our needs. My husband has much building / construction experiece, and it has been my dream for a long time to own a vintage camper. He spent four months rebuilding this camper to my design. Things done:
Replacement of all damaged/weathered framing and insulation; reattachment of subfloor to chassis; new wiring for lights and interior electric; cleaning, priming, and rubberization of the entire underside, new jack and spare tire, new hubcaps, replacement of damaged/unsavable inside wall panels, exterior paint, new screens, new gutters around roof, rebuild and refinish of inside structure, stripping and saving of the original door, creation of flip up and slide out front bed / storage area, new plumbing with foot pump, and I’m sure I’m missing some things. Please see the photos at the rebuild link below, as they will show you how far down this camper was taken to be rebuilt. The side skins were removed about halfway up, but were left on above that in order to save the rubber roof that was installed by a past owner, and was still in really good shape.

Since the reubuild we’ve had this camper out many times. It’s taken many trips down the highway, as well as down bumpy country roads. We have had no structural or other issues with it, and we’ve kept a close eye on things now that we know what to look for.

It’s really sad to consider selling this, but most of the camping trips I take are myself along with my 2 and 4 year olds. My intention is to purchase something I can drive, and don’t need my husband to have to drop us off and get us set up. My children (and myself) love this little camper, and we’ve many great weekends in it.
