About

Hi there!

What is Little Vintage Trailer all about?

This website was started to bring together those that love vintage trailers of all kinds as well as share information such as; camping, glamping, how to’s, events, decorating, campfire recipes and so much more. It’s all about ‘happiness on wheels’ just like the tag line states and sharing in a love for these sweet little trailers that bring so much happiness into our lives. Whether you have a 40 foot trailer (or caravan for our UK friends) or a 10 footer, you are welcome here! My hope is that you will find inspiration throughout this site whether you currently have a trailer, are searching for the perfect one for sale, looking to list one for sale or just discovering the wonderful world of vintage trailers. My hope is that this website helps you to find your own happiness {on wheels}.

Who runs this site?
My name is Kelle Arvay and I am happily married to my best friend. We have 2 children at home and several cats. I was bitten by the vintage trailer bug back in 2009 and have been obsessed ever since. I have a deep admiration for all things vintage. I believe they just don’t make things today like they used to. The level of workmanship and quality of materials used back then is evident in many vintage items including trailers. Besides vintage trailers, I also enjoy vintage cars and small vintage boats. Additionally, I also enjoy creating mixed media paintings, hunting for vintage and antique treasures and going on road trips. My trailers have been featured in the NY Times , in photos shoots with American Greetings and also I was on Hallmark’s Home and Family show in a segment about Glamping. More info can be found on the Press page.

Do you inspect the trailers that get listed on your website to make sure they don’t have rot or mold and are generally safe? No, we do not inspect any trailer that is listed for sale on our website. It is 100% up to the buyer to do their own due diligence inspection of any trailer before purchasing it.

Can I contribute?
Absolutely! I love to feature other vintage trailers, rally events, tutorials, decorating, interesting stories of inspiration, how to’s and even give-a-ways. So feel free to use the submission form to send in your info.

How do I advertise on your site?
You can find out more information on the advertising link.

What kind of trailers do you have?

BELOW ARE PAST TRAILERS I’VE OWNED THAT ARE NOW SOLD

1959 Airstream Globetrotter
Name: Silver Lining
Weight:
Length: 15′ body, 18′ with tongue.
Color: Aluminum
Sleeps: 4
Condition: Excellent with some upgrades to the flooring, on demand hot water heater, ducted A/C, shower, new flooring, etc.,
Best Attribute: It’s an AIRSTREAM! What more can I say?
What I love about it: I love this particular layout. Many of the Airstreams of this particular size have the side gaucho bed. I love that this model has the rear permanent bed. To me, a permanent rear bed is ideal. I specifically sought out a Airstream with a rear bed layout like this. Not easy to come by. Also I am a bit spoiled by that fridge. I’ve never owned one with an actual fridge in it. It even has a wee little icebox inside that keeps things ice cold.
Status: Sold and off on new adventures.
