Ok, so I just recently discovered this term; Glamping and had to investigate more. Glamping combines the word glamor and camping. The idea is basically camping but with some of the more luxurious amenities. Personally, I would love one of these tents as a backyard retreat. Can you imagine having one with a featherbed and maybe even a clawfoot bathtub? They remind me of the colorful and whimsical circus tents or safari type tents. This last photo is not me, but a gal named Judy. Here is a link to her Flickr. If you check out her tent it’s probably at least a 9 x 12. The bed you could use one of those inflatable ones to get it up off the ground. Throw a rug down and add a few other homey amenities and you are Glamping!

Ooooh …. kind of reminds me of Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire when the Weasleys take him camping at the Quidditch World Cup. He looks at this little tent, it's nothing, but goes inside and it's amazing. His words, "I love magic!" I think I'd be saying "I love glamping!" 🙂
Yeah, it's pretty cool! I could definitely see setting up a seasonal backyard retreat using a large walk-through tent like this. Setting it all up romantic like (:
