Midcentury treasure in incredible condition, priced to sell!
Beautiful 1959 Shasta Airflyte. All original fixtures: electric (works!) princess gas stove/oven, icebox, water tank, all original light fixtures, original paint.
Stored under cover and used only in fair weather, has not been tested/ taken out in heavy rain or weather since I bought it in 2019, but was re-sealed with butyl tape in 2018.
I’ve used the ice box as a dry pantry, and a separate water supply to preserve the condition of the original fixtures, but they are all in working order.
The only modern upgrade is the mattress, sitting on the original pull-out bed frame (could be replaced with a gaucho style bed to recall the original). Comes with rails for the upper bunks/ kid beds, though not the cot(s). Original jackknife bench seats in the dinette fold out into a bed for one or two.
No toilet or shower: this trailer has not been updated at all, the appeal is in the authenticity. You could turn the closet into a bathroom, add a heater, insulate for all seasons; or use as-is.
Areas of potential concern:
The chassis is a little rusty, see photo to get a sense of the extent.
Some light water damage to the wood paneling on the bottom interior of the door, and flaking of the finish on the birch paneling on the door.
Some light/ superficial water damage inside from a previous leak along a roof seam (now repaired).
Hubcaps and new Shasta stickers are included (not pictured).
This camper is in incredible condition for its age. It’s adorable, cozy, and an amazing vintage Shasta: if you love these aesthetics you will love this trailer.
Asking price is $10,000 obo: reasonable offers are very welcome and will be considered.
