Who doesn't love cupcakes right? Here is a brand new pattern I just finished up. This is designed by me so you can make this sweet cupcake bunting for your vintage camper. You can make them in whatever colors match your decor. But they don't have to be made just for your camper. You could make them up for your next party or just for fun. This is a fun and easy … [Read more...]

Of course you are more than welcome to comment here but also don't forget to cast your vote on the poll itself as well so we can see more accurate results. So feel free to plug in your vote! Restoration of 1956 Vintage Trailer Day 1
So the demolition on the 56 Southland Runabout begins. We put in a full days work removing the front skin and about 3/4 of the interior walls and ceiling. The previous owners just put new wood over the old. That is NOT the right way to do it. However, they actually did me a favor by doing this because I was able to pull off the wood sections they put up fairly easily … [Read more...]
How to make easy vintage trailer dinette cushions
So this is the fabric I picked out for the 1956 Southland Runabout. It's quite a contrast to the whimsical interior of our 61 Shasta Compact, but I really feel this vintage trailer commands a more toned down feel especially because of the darker wood interior. So this is what I decided on. I hope you like it! Here is the finished cushions. Ok, now on to … [Read more...]

New Canvas Bunk for the 61 Shasta Compact
Whew, it's been a busy weekend so far. While the rest of the world is out camping this 4th of July weekend, I'm home sewing and such. I'm enjoying it though. I hope everyone has a happy and safe holiday! I needed to replace the canvas bunk as the old one looked like it was made from feedsacks that were quilted together and it was starting to come loose in … [Read more...]
How to reinforce the canvas bunk in a vintage trailer
Another project tackled. This one was a little scary and I'll tell you why in a moment. But before that I want to tell you about the canvas bunk that is in a Shasta Compact. It consists of two heavy steel poles and a canvas. It was made for sleeping a child I assume and sits in brackets above the bed/dinette area. I was giving a lot of thought on if that bunk … [Read more...]
